During WINTER months we want your children to be able to access the outdoors during break times. To help keep them warm, if you have hats, scarves and gloves for your child, please send them into school along with their warm coats. We know that some children don't like to wear these items, but if you do have them and would like us to try, please send them into school and we will offer them support and encouragement to wear them - it's not always possible, but we think it's worth a try and sometimes we manage to succeed.
During the SUMMER we want your children to be able to access the outdoors during break times. To help make them more comfortable, if you have sun hats and sunglasses please send them into school. Again, we will try and support your child to wear these items. We have shaded areas across all playgrounds so that your children can sit in the shade if preferred. On occasions when it is too hot we may decide it is safer to keep the children indoors for breaks. Please see our Sun Cream Guidance Policy.
We do not take the decision to close our doors lightly and have many factors to consider before doing so: many of our children and staff are not from the local area and have long journeys between home and school on roads which may be difficult to pass. We also need to be confident that they can be kept warm when they are on site. In the event of us taking the decision to close our doors due to extreme weather conditions we will post a notice on this website. This message will be displayed on the Home Page photo slide show with details of our opening status along with any other information which may be relevant.

We sent out our annual Parent/Carer Questionnaire in September 2016. We had a fantastic response and would like to extend our thanks to all those that took the time to provide this valuable feedback. The Questionnaire has now been analysed and can be viewed by clicking the document link below. It also includes some lovely comments for our wonderful staff.
