Wed 22 March
Yesterday was World Down Syndrome Day. The 21st day of March (the 3rd month of the year) was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome. Every year on March 21st, World Down Syndrome Day is observed to create awareness about Down syndrome. As well as raising awareness about living with Down syndrome, it's a fantastic opportunity to raise vital funds to support our invaluable work with expectant and new parents of a baby with Down syndrome. Classes in KS3 and 4, and the office team have been taking part in the WDSD Sunflower Challenge – please see the attached poster. There is a QR code if you would like to make a donation to the work of Down Syndrome UK.
